What is the Glint debit card?
If you are a Glint customer and a US or UK resident, you are eligible for a prepaid debit card which you can use to spend funds and gold from your Glint account in store and online where Mastercard is accepted.
The Glint card allows you to use gold as money and spend your physical gold when you need it.
What's so great about the Glint card?
The Glint card brings gold into the 21st century by allowing the stable and reliable form of money to be spent without having to worry about low denominations. Gold has historically been the medium of exchange for millennia, but in todays modern world with digital payments and complex merchant networks it's very difficult to spend gold where you like. It's even harder to convert the cost of something in real time to an amount in gold and then shave off that exact amount of gold to make a payment.

Myths about the Glint card
We often get asked by customers: "Is spending gold really easy"? and "Will I be charged a fee if I spend gold where I live?".
It seems difficult to believe but let's break it down.
You do not need to convert or sell your gold to spend it. Spend gold directly from your gold wallet and we handle all the conversions in real time at point of sale/purchase.
When you spend your gold in the country you live in there we don't charge you a gold sell fee.

How do I use the Glint debit card?
On the Glint app you will see an image of your card on the backboard.
You can tap on your card or drag down on the Balances drawer to see it.
Tap the 'Wallet' button and select which wallet you want to spend from.
